Why Travelers Love To Visit Texas

There are several reasons why Texans are so proud of their state, and while the Lone Star State may not be as well-known to tourists as California or Florida, that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth a visit. Here are some of the finest reasons to visit Texas — and there are many more.

Diverse Cities:

Texas is home to a myriad of cities, each with its distinct personality. Dallas is a glittering and opulent oil boomtown. Fort Worth, on the other hand, epitomizes the rugged Texas mentality of rodeos and ranchers. Houston, a diverse Gulf Coast collection of communities ranging from new developments to old little towns like Katy, is distinct yet again. In the Hill Country, there’s also Austin and San Antonio. Austin is Texas’ quirky capital, bursting at the seams with arts, culture, music, and outdoor activities. It’s the ideal place to discover new trends. San Antonio, on the other hand, is a city steeped in Southwest tradition that is now known for its lively River Walk and Tex-Mex food. There’s a lot to see and do in these amazing cities.

Rodeos:

The ranch lifestyle is undeniably Texan. The cattle industry has a long history in Texas, and it is currently being practiced. While seeing the ranches of the countryside, you may also want to attend a rodeo while in Texas. Visit the Fort Worth Stockyards, where cattle drives are held twice daily.

Texas Food:

It’s difficult to write about the finest reasons for visiting Texas without becoming lyrical about the food. From Tex-Mex to BBQ to burgers and beyond, Texas cuisine is delectable enough to warrant a trip to the Lone Star State. In addition to all of the traditional Texas foods, such as brisket and pecan pie, Texas’ main cities (particularly Houston!) all have thriving foreign culinary scenes.
