Exploring & Having Fun At The Amazing Schlitterbahn East (New Park), New Braunfels
The first Schlitterbahn Waterpark was located along the Comal River in a sparsely developed area of New Braunfels. The cool spring water and popular rides meant that they quickly outgrown their tiny footprint in the city, and a second park was established only a few streets down the street. As its name implies, Schlitterbahn East is a water park that takes a more cutting-edge approach to the typical waterpark experience than its patrons may be used to. You know you’re at Schlitterbahn when you are surrounded by the rapid coasters, wild rivers, and infectious laughter.
New Braunfels’ Schlitterbahn Waterpark is unlike any other water park. It has been crowned the “World’s Best and Biggest Waterpark” for 22 years! In a scenic location along the Comal River in the Texas hill country, you’ll find 51 different activities spread over 70 acres.
There are three distinct areas inside the relatively newer segment of the park known as Schlitterbahn East. You can walk wherever, although you may want to bring water shoes. Several of the park’s best features may be found in this section.

The following is some information to have before you visit:
Read this article before you go so you can plan which attractions to visit first and pick up some useful points regarding Parking and Free Shuttle to both parks. There will be no additional fees for bringing your own cooler.
Parking might be difficult at Schlitterbahn East. Every morning by 10 a.m., the parking lot is completely full. Park at Schlitterbahn West and take the free shuttle over to the main park if you plan on visiting both locations on the same day. When visiting any of the Schlitterbahn Parks, feel free to bring along your own cooler. Alcohol and glassware are prohibited.
You may keep your credit card safely stored in your locker, vehicle, or hotel room and still pay for your food and beverages using Splash Cash at Schlitterbahn. During your time at the water park, you may load up your Splash Cash card with money and use it like a debit card. In the end, they would return any cash you didn’t spend.
As for the Trips:
There are three rides in the Blastenhoff Tower, and there are often massive queues to get tickets. It is best to get an early start on one of them. Guests must wait in a very long queue to go on Master Blaster, the most popular attraction. If you want to ride the finest attraction in America, go no further than this uphill water coaster, which is the most popular in the whole nation. Blastenhoff is also home to the Black Knight and Wolfpack Raft Slide.
Boat Trips on the River:
Schlitterbahn East features 3 excellent river rides, and there is nothing lazy about any of their rivers. In The Torrent, you may swim or float in a tube, but be prepared for strong and fast-moving water! You may find the Torrent just below Blastenhoff Tower.
The Falls is supposedly the longest water ride in the whole globe. It simulates a wild river float by alternating between leisurely floats and rapids. It goes through pretty much the whole of the park. While waiting for a tube, you may enjoy the water and avoid the queue. Behind Blastenhoff Tower, not far from the Comal River, is where you’ll find The Falls. Please carry a life jacket, since toddlers and young children are not permitted to ride in the same tube as you.
Cross the bridge at The Falls and go down to the Comal River to see an incredible and hilarious spectacle: the mass participation in inner tubing. You may relax and people-watch in this public area of the park.
Boogie Bahn Surfing Ride:
Always give Boogie Bahn a go! It’s incredibly exhilarating, even if your ride only lasts for a few seconds! Don’t be shy about approaching the lifeguards in the viewing area for any tips if you’re having trouble getting into the swing of things.
The Dragon’s Revenge:
The Dragon’s Revenge is a theme ride, and it’s the best theme water ride.
