Why Hotels Should Publish A Blog

Till recently many smaller or medium sized hotels did not even have a website. Most hotel owners would not bother about getting a website developed as they felt it was a waste of time and money. This has changed a lot in the past few years. Now you can see every small, medium and big hotel rushing to get a modern, fully-featured website developed.

However there is one more area which many hotels are not paying enough attention to. That area is of blogging. Most hotels feel they don’t need to have a blog – it is not for them. They feel that a blog may not at all be useful for a hotel business.

Let me tell you that it is a big mistake for people to think that blogging is not useful or essential. While hotels may do well without having a blog, if they do start a blog they may see enormous benefits which they were unaware of before. Let us discuss a few of these benefits.

1. Grow your brand and online presence
With a blog you have a chance to greatly increase your online presence and thus create a stronger brand image. Having a blog can really set apart your hotel from 90% others who don’t have a blog yet.

2. Reach more people
If you publish regular blog posts that are insightful, informative, engaging and relevant to your targeted audience, you can reach great number of people that you may not have reached otherwise with just a website. Blog posts are likely to be shared more on social media than a webpage, which can tremendously increase your reach.

3. Interact and engage with people
Blogs provide an opportunity to communicate with your audience. You can share important announcements and news regarding your hotel, share pictures of events, address user’s concerns and questions, answer their doubts, share user testimonials, etc. A blog allows you to do lot more than a normal website. It helps you interact with your audience in a more engaging way.
