Greensboro is a city of North Carolina which is known for its historical battles during the Revolutionary War and its location near the Great Smoky Mountains, which offer many outdoor recreational trails for visitors. How to get there: 

The Piedmont Triad International Airport is located 12 miles outside Greensboro city center. People can then take a public bus PT1 to reach the center of the city. Other options include private cars and taxis. There are various trains and buses too which can get you to the city.

Greensboro Science Center: 

North Carolina is one of the most science oriented states in the USA mainly due to the Research Triangle. Science Center is located on Lawndale Drive, a little towards the north of the city. It is a science museum and zoological park established in 1957. 

It hosts a huge collection of marine and land animals, from Chilean tarantulas to blue poison dart frogs, sharks, penguins, otters, and other amazing animals. Guilford Courthouse National Military Park:

Anyone interested in American war of independence should not miss this place. It was built to commemorate the Battle of Guilford Courthouse of 1781 which started America on the path to freedom from British rule.
