If your guests see that you are still doing things the old way they may choose to stay at some other hotel. Other hotels may be providing online booking facility, fully automated check-in and check-out processes which are quicker, smoother and easier for the guests.
If you don’t introduce the same things very soon your loyal customers may be going away from you. So start implementing relevant technology to improve your business before it is too late.

Another area you may fall behind your competitors is not keeping up with the latest trends happening in the market. For example, if many hotels are providing some amenities like free wifi and your hotel does not provide the same, you may find lot of guests complaining about it and eventually some of them may not stay with you again.
Similarly if all other hotels are providing an option for cash payments or card payments and your hotel does not have the card payment option, it can prove to be a big roadblock for the survival or growth of your business. It is important to keep up with the latest emerging trends in the market. If there is something that is becoming common in your industry and all other hotels are doing it, you better not be left behind.
