Benefits of Camping Trips for Kids – Part 2
This is part 2 of the article. You can find part 1 here: camping benefits for kids – 1
Below are some more benefits of camping:
Help Your Children Unplug From Electronic Devices:
Our children frequently spend a lot of time in front of a gadget. Camping is wonderful because it is devoid of screens and electronics (or I would strongly suggest that you make it such). Make it a no-technology weekend. And it will be a welcome change from your usual routine. Other activities that children love while camping include gathering kindling for the fire, building a fire pit, collecting frogs, climbing trees, playing board games, and fishing. They get to experience real life, without gadgets, and you get to share it with them.
Stimulate Your Survival Instinct:
One of the best parts about camping is that you have to rely on yourself. You must construct your shelter, build your fire, and prepare your meal. Although some campgrounds have all the conveniences you want, if you want to do it “right,” you’ll want to get as basic as possible. This is an excellent approach to teaching your children survival skills that they would not have learned otherwise. People sometimes find themselves in harsh circumstances by accident, and simple survival skills may make all the difference. That may seem a little exaggerated, but who knows when you might need to use your basic survival skills.
